I just got these shoes, and I believe breaking shoes in is a myth, so they have to work right away. And they do. I put them on, went shopping, went to the gym, have worn them all day, and they provide great support and comfort -- plenty of cushioning from concrete sidewalks and hard floors. Plenty of support for ankles and feet. I'm not a runner and not an athlete -- I just want supportive, good, comfortable shoes for my own modest routines.I bought my size but after reading reviews, I bought it in W instead of regular width. The length is perfect and the width works perfectly too. I was worried they would slide on my heels if too wide but nope. They fit ideally. And they are really good looking shoes. Just enough color for some happy pizazz. I have a very high arch which means I loosen laces over that part of my foot so shoes don't hurt right in that spot. The laces are nice, they tie firmly, and are long enough to loosen the part I needed to.The soles are thicker than what I've been used to wearing so at first, I felt pretty tall! But I got used to that right away. I know that I'll be happy with these shoes as long as they wear well and only time will tell that. I had another pair of New Balance shoes probably five years ago and they were fine but I like these much better in terms of comfort and appearance. New Balance has stepped up its styling.I got these through Prime so free two day shipping. I got an e-mail notice that they would arrive by USPS on Sunday. I thought that was an error. But indeed they exactly did. (I had no idea the USPS delivered anything on Sunday.) I didn't pay extra for it.I cannot offer any meaningful advice for runners. But for those who need a work horse athletic shoe that also look sharp, I think these are great.I get the support I need in this sneakerIf you have bony and narrow feet like me, they will fit you perfectly if you choose your usual size. They curvature of both the foam and the shoe wall is just so spot on I feel lots of support when I walk and run. Especially the extra support in the inner sole is so helpful for my exercise because I have very weak and skinny ankles. (I have normal size upper body and thighs, but very small ankles and feet.)I usually run on the road averaging 10 miles per week.I have worn them for a about a month now and it feels great. I didn't really have a break-in time. The only downside is that these shoes are a bit stiff, as I suppose you need to trade some flexibility in for the stability.I also really like the color and the design. Running shoes are normally not very cute, so I went for the look of this pair hoping they will be comfortable. I am glad they turn out so fitting and supportive to my running.Love them. Ordered my regular size and width and they fit like a glove the minute I slipped my foot in, I new this was a special shoe. Previously wore the 990 for over one thousand days, walking and heavy yard work. They must have been washed 25 to 50 times in the washer (didn't keep count) and still feel good but the soles are starting to lose a little tread. Now comes the Vongo: Great look, extremely comfortable and the firm heel really gives me confidence that my feet are not rolling over. Am able to actually walk straight and not like a duck! Shopped the heck out of every shoe with fresh foam to accommodate soft landing after impending hip replacement. Many out there but these have best support.These shoes are amazing. I usually don't review, but I didn't even wait for Amazon to ask me. I have always been a Nike girl liking the wide toe bed. Old feet, old problems. But, I loves the colors and the reviews were so positive, I though I'd give them a try. Took the advice of "what size are you" and went with my usual size. They arrived and I hesitated keeping them. The fit was snug then I was used to. But it also felt more supportive. I don't even need my orthodics, although I can remove the insole and replace with no problems. I wore these all day yesterday and felt like no shoes at all. Plus I like the extra boost in height ( I'm 5'1"). I may now be a NB girl for life.These shoes arrived in the mail a few days ago and I love them. I use prescription orthotics and they fit into the shoe nicely after removing the insole in the shoe. I usually wear size 9.5 wide and that's what I ordered. The shoes are very comfortable and fit well. I think they are a bit more narrow than some other wide shoes I've worn, but as long as I don't pull the laces too tight, they are great. The cushioning and support are very good. I do a lot of walking every day on paved paths as well as woodland paths so that is very important. I like this shoe so much I ordered a second pair.I always wear New Balance because I have Plantar faciaitis and they have good arch support. I also have wide feet and the wide width fit great but lately the newer products haven't fit as well. I tried on a pair of these in the store and loved them and they fit great! I bought this pair as a second pair. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because of the color. They are so comfortable that The color was less important.Love these shoes!! They are a year old and still holding together. I wear them for my classes at the gym, walking, and some running. I go to the gym maybe 1-3 times a week. I am not a 5 mile a day runner, so I can't speak on that side. But for what I use them they are wonderful. And the color is awesome!! I have gotten many compliments. I have a wide foot and NB offers a great selection of wide foot shoes.Der Schuh ist sehr hart und vorne sehr eng.Optisch ist der Schuh ein echter Hinkucker.Aber das war's auch schon.Zum Joggen ungeeignet, da er sehr unbequem ist.Um zur Bushaltestelle zulaufen ist er ok.Good cushioning for runners.
