I wear custom fit orthotics due to being flat footed. For the last few years I've been using Asics, great shoes. A review mentioned the Asics Kayano 28 and the NB Vongo 5. I tried them both. I thought I wasn't going to like the NB, because of prior experience with them. I ran with the Kayano 28, solid great shoe. But with the Vongo 5, it's much more stable and cushion, I was able to run a little longer and faster with them; less pain on my feet and legs. For me, the Vongo 5, wins over the Kayano. However, the Vongo 5, the upper material feels cheap.I bought these to use on a treadmill, and have not worn them outside. but they are miles away from my normal Brooks Dyads. So much more comfortable and so much less jarring when sprinting up a 10% grade on the treadmill. I've had knee surgery and my knees are sensitive to the punishment working out provides. These shoes make it a lot less punishing.This shoe does it all. You need a super soft shoe for being on your feet all day? How about a shoe with good stability that you put miles on to get fit or prepare for a 5K or more? Yep this New Balance can do it all. Just buy it!Stable, comfortable, and lightweight; this is an exceptional shoe! Runs a little narrow in size, but the stability and weight are perfectly balanced. Normally, a shoe with this stability and durability would weight more and feel heavier; but, this shoe feels very light, flexible, and plushy comfortable. A great shoe!Updated to 5 stars: knee pain disappeared after 20 miles in the shoes.If you're buying this shoe for running, you best be an overpronator. If that is not you, this is the wrong shoe and you're going to be disappointed.I come to this shoe as an overpronator who used to run in neutral shoes, but over time have developed planar fasciitis and having had multiple stress fractures.I've spent far too much money trying to find a stability shoe which isn't too heavy, has the right toe drop, isn't too wide or too narrow, and doesn't have excessive levels of cushioning.I've tried the Asics Kayano 27, Kayano Lite 2, Hoka Bondi 7, Asics Gel-Nimbus Lite 2 in the last 18 months. All have (for me) been less than idea as the sports injuries and pain persisted.I've logged 15 miles on 3 runs since these arrived, and wow. No post-run pain. No pain during runs. I've read a lot about recent NB shoes having heel slippage, but I observed no problems.The only fair criticism I've read for the Vongo v5 is of the weight and drop. I would not buy this as a shoe to do speed work or for high mileage, unless you have more than one pair of shoes in rotation.As of this writing, I am holding back a star because the posting is giving me a minor level of knee pain during runs, but I'm thinking that is not the shoe and more my body adjusting to the shoe.On top of that, it's a good looking shoe. Super happy with this one.The show is comfortable however the toe box was a bit too wide and where the laces started there is little room for stretch/adjusting so it was too snug on my instep.Buy these for my husband whenever he wears them out from walking so much! He likes the support and cushioning they provide.Got these for my husband who is a mail carrier. He said they are nice and lightweight and sturdy and has good support. They are a good price and super comfortable.Gran calidad de materiales, diseño, comodidad y soporte. Son de estabilidad para pronadores pero igual funcionan para neutros. Son como los 1080 pero con soporte adicional. Es importante elegir la versión wide si en verdad el pie es ancho y las versiones standard lesionan o se sienten apretadas . De otro modo pueden sentirse demasiado sueltos en la parte delantera.Estos Tenis me quedaron muy bien, a la medida y se ven muy bien. Los materiales con que están fabricados se ven de buena calidad.Lo poco que los he usado me gustaron mucho!
