I have been desperately searching for a replacement stability running shoe without success... The ones I used to like have been "updated" and no longer work well for me. Unfortunately, I have wide feet (and in the Southern summers, my feet are swollen and I border on an extra wide. Yay me.), and in-store options seem limited. I have spent so much on various brands of wide stability shoes lately, and these are finally my winners! I think New Balances are actually pretty good with their widths (what a slap in the face when other brands run narrow and then their wides are more like a traditional medium width) in the toe box, thankfully. I actually bought these in both a D (for morning runs and for when the heat subsides a bit and my feet aren't as swollen) and in a 2E (late afternoon runs, summer heat runs, and for longer distance runs when my feet tend to swell more) for a little extra room. They aren't the most cushioned option out there, but these fit best for me so I'm ok with that. I also appreciate that NB offers more than just the neutral/boring colors in wide widths! I wear a size 6 in standard shoes, a 6.5 in sneakers - same with these, so tts.Did not live up to it's description of supportiveness and cushy comfort for me. I read reviews and some mentioned that it had great arch support. I don't agree at all - for those with high arches, do NOT expect the arch support that other styles of New Balance do provide. It also had a standard amount of cushiness but was no means heavily padded. I love the brand the shoe is a good one, but if your need is for a more heavily cushioned shoe with arch support, this one is NOT the one.I purchased a pair of these New Balance Fresh Foam 860 v12 when I read an article that said they were recommended for people who have imbalance problems. I’ve just discovered that I have a brain tumor which is causing vertigo and deafness. When I started to research various brands of shoes, I was astonished to learn that New Balance has a type of shoe for everyone. I bought these and really like them so far. I haven’t yet worn them more than a week. But they fit my problematic feet snuggly and seem to have a firm base.I have an over pronation and these shoes help to keep me balanced and offer pretty good stability. I was a little disappointed about the length. NB has made this version a little bit shorter and a little bit more narrow. The width is good but my feet are a tiny bit too long for this size shoe and too short for the shoe 1/2 size larger. I did buy a pair in a 1/2 size larger and i find myself occasionally tripping over my toes. So, for me, my normal size (even though snug) has been a better fit.I have severe pronation and use orthotics. These shoes are a lifesaver. They are sturdy and give my feet the support they need. I won’t buy any other style of New Balance or shoes from another manufacturer.I work in a factory on concrete floors for 8-10 hours straight and my feet used to get murdered. Did my research and these ranked number one for being on your feet long hours. They live up to the hype.... After a week of wearing them huge difference! Definitely recommend!I love the new balance 860 model.. I have worn the 860 model for years. They are extremely comfortable and light. The option of colors this year is wonderful.First tennis I bought since my chemo...(my feet have been so swollen x 3 years now. These are very nice. And very comfortable. I'm so glad I bought these. I even bought 2 of the New Balance Runners for my adult kids....They love them!!!!
